Quarry Adventure Park Launch a great success!

quarry adventure park launch

More than 4000 people from the local community gathered at Meadow Springs over the weekend to get their first glimpse of the exciting new Quarry Adventure Park, which was launched by City of Mandurah Mayor Creevey and Mirvac WA CEO Evan Campbell with a family fun day including concerts, games and a firework spectacular.

The park, which has been built on the site of a former quarry at the heart of Mirvac’s Meadow Springs community, was celebrated as one of the largest and most feature-packed parks to be completed in Mandurah.

With four hectares of open space including a terraced limestone amphitheatre, barbeque areas, pathways, viewing platforms, a toddler’s playground and an adventure playground, the park has something for people of all ages to enjoy.

Mirvac’s, Evan Campbell said he had anticipated a large crowd at the event, but he was overwhelmed by the community’s enthusiastic response to the opening of Quarry Adventure Park.

“It was fantastic to watch the children, in particular, discover the park and enjoy the adventure playground - complete with slides, a climbing wall and play apparatus – along with free entertainment at the event including face painting, sports games and appearances by Dora the Explorer.

Thank you to all involved as it was a huge effort to get the park and event ready and launched in spectacular style!!
